OMG, im so glad this week is OVER.....
cant wait to spend my weekend in seoul.... i need a break from everything...
i taught another engineering class this morning...and they were worse than the one i had on thursday...gosh.....they just wont listen or follow any instructions....it was a total disaster :(
i felt reli pissed but at the same time reli discouraged that my game didnt interest them....i put so much time on it and they just dont wanna play it at all.....i just dont understand why all the other classes enjoyed the game so much but the engineering kids just couldnt do the same..........when i went back to my office, i just felt defeated.....i tried so hard talking to each group and they all ignored me as if im invisible....
then, i had a nice long chat with my coteachers...and they totally understand my feeling...because apparently....the engineering kids are notorious for being the hardest kids to teach.....they treat all their teachers like they are a joke and just do their own thg in class.....after the talk, i felt much better, because i understood that i am not the only one that face this problem....they told me that some kids are reli anxious when it comes to talking in english in front of a foreigner....thats why some are in the rejection mode when i teach them....
the coteacher that works with me in the engineering class is reli soft spoken and therefore when she tries to take control and discipline the kids, they ignore her too...and so the class just gets crazier and we dont seem to have any authority there....
so from next week onwards, im not going to do games with the engineering kids, i will have a special lesson plan for them.....
i will teach them elementary school stuff, coz apparently...their english level is as low as 10 year old kids....and maybe thats why they didnt understand anything when i was trying to teach them how to play guess who and survivor....
im sure next week will be a better week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
